Jack King
Jack is a self-taught writer/director and filmmaker from Bradford, UK. He began his career creating narrative music videos for both independent and major record labels, earning multiple Vimeo Staff Picks and millions of views. His micro-budget debut feature THE CEREMONY premiered at the 77th Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2024, where it won the inaugural Sean Connery Prize for Feature Filmmaking Excellence and was nominated for two BIFAs. His previous shorts include PRINTS, shot in Northern Japan and premiered at Clermont-Ferrand, and PREDATORS, supported by BFI Network and nominated for Best UK Short at the London Critics’ Circle Awards following its BFI London Film Festival premiere. A Film London Lodestar and alum of multiple talent labs in the UK and internationally, Jack gravitates toward cross-cultural, atmospheric, and dark psychological storytelling — often focusing on outsiders, misfits, and those on the fringes of society through a grounded, character-led approach.
