Georgia Parris

Georgia is a Writer/Director in Film and TV, she has made a series of award winning shorts and her debut feature film MARI, premiered at the BFI London Film Festival, with a cinema release in 2019. Produced through the Film London Microwave scheme, it was made for just £150,000, starring world renowned dancer Bobbi Jene Smith, with choreography from Punchdrunk’s Maxine Doyle. “Parris is stirringly adventurous… One dream sequence ranks among the boldest imaginative leaps in recent British cinema… a startling level of achievement.” – The Guardian. In 2021 she directed all episodes of the TV mini series TOM JONES, a costume drama for ITV and PBS. Georgia is currently in script development with the BFI on her second feature film and is developing two shorts. She was selected as a Film London Lodestar and is a member of BAFTA Connect, Directors UK and Cinesisters.
