Gabriel Swartland

Gabriel has nearly 20 years marketing experience in the cinema industry working across both exhibition and distribution.

 

In 2017 Gabriel joined Movio who provide data-driven marketing solutions to cinema and distributor clients. As Director of Client Services for the EMEA region, he is responsible for the Account Management team and their objective of helping clients better understand moviegoers and providing actionable insights on cinema-going behaviour. Before joining Movio, Gabriel spent the majority of his career at Picturehouse Cinemas where he helped the group become one of the leading independent cinema operators in the UK. As Director of Communications, Gabriel was responsible for marketing and PR at the cinema group. In 2010 Gabriel helped launch their distribution arm, Picturehouse Entertainment, where he was responsible for marketing strategies on numerous releases including The Lobster, The Imposter, 20,000 Days on Earth and One More Time With Feeling.
