Duncan Paveling
Duncan Paveling is a Writer/Director who formed Dull Boy Pictures (with Gavin Thain & Gareth Stanley). Its first feature MY FERAL HEART (Dir: Jane Gull) become a multi award-winning, breakout success and after its UK premiere at Edinburgh Film Festival received numerous BIFA nominations, a record-breaking Ourscreen cinematic release and critical acclaim, with Mark Kermode (Guardian/BFI) referring to it as ‘One of the most influential Brit-pics of the decade.’
With numerous projects in development, Duncan wrote and directed the award-winning short LITTLE MARY (Starring Suzanna Hamilton & Stephen Boxer, Prod: Karen Newman) and most recently co-directed (with Matt Whitworth) SHADOWS ABOVE a music video for the band Beatglider and their forthcoming re-release of ‘Dreaming of Roads’ (Arlen Records).
Duncan also hosts the podcast MOVIE CLINIC, based upon his regular column (of the same name) he contributes to FILM STORIES magazine (Editor: Simon Brew), exploring the therapeutic nature of film.
