Chloe Fairweather
Chloe Fairweather is an award-winning Welsh filmmaker known for creative, emotionally resonant, narrative-driven documentaries. As a BBC Production trainee she worked across ambitious documentary and drama projects. Her feature documentary Dying to Divorce was the UK’s official Oscar entry and won Best Film at BAFTA Scotland, BAFTA Breakthrough
UK, and a BAFTA Cymru Breakthrough Award. It was also nominated for a British Independent Film Award and a Grierson Award.
Recent credits include Scouting for Girls (Sky Documentaries), for which she won Best Director at BAFTA Cymru, and The Kidnap of Angel Lynn (Channel 4), which won Outstanding Documentary at the True Crime Awards. Chloe is currently developing Rabbit, a feature-length animated film supported by BFI, Screen Scotland, and Ffilm Cymru Wales. Rabbit marks her bold transition into narrative fiction, blending her documentary sensibilities with scripted storytelling.
Beyond her directing work, Chloe provides mentorship and story consultancy actively championing inclusive and innovative filmmaking.
