Cate Kane

Cate has been co-Director of Global Acquisitions at streamer/distributor/producer MUBI since September 2020, following a 9 year stint at Curzon Artificial Eye, heading up their acquisitions. She is responsible for a variety of acquisitions over the years including THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD, PARASITE, THE HANDMAIDEN & 45 YEARS. Previous experience also includes roles at Content Film, BBC Films & Casarotto Ramsay. Her focus is on discovering new talent to stand alongside established filmmakers at the label and she takes a hands-on approach to early acquisitions where possible.
