CEREMONY DATES ANNOUNCED FOR BIFA 2025, 2026 & 2027
BIFA TO RETURN TO ROUNDHOUSE FOR NEXT THREE YEARS
NEW BOARD MEMBERS, CHAIR & DEPUTY CHAIR ANNOUNCED
ENTRY NOW OPEN FOR 2025 CEREMONY
BIFA today announced the ceremony dates and venues for the awards in 2025, 2026 and 2027. After a move to Roundhouse in 2024, the awards will make the venue its home for the next three years.
The 2025 awards will take place on Sunday 30 November, the 2026 ceremony on Sunday 6 December and the 2027 ceremony on Sunday 5 December.
BIFA directors Amy Gustin and Deena Wallace said, “We’re delighted to be making Roundhouse our home for the next three years: our organisations share many of the same values and are committed to nurturing, supporting and platforming creative talent. And of course it’s an excellent venue for a big party. Our generous and loyal partners ATC, Broadsword, Intermission Film and Red Chutney, amongst many others, are instrumental in creating a champagne production on a tap water budget, something many of the filmmakers we’ll be celebrating will be very familiar with.”
This year will see Premier Live taking on the event production management with DDA handling media management.
Derek Richards, Head of Broadcast and Digital Programme at the Roundhouse said, “We were hugely excited to be hosting the BIFAs at the Roundhouse last year, enhancing the visibility within the film and TV sector of what many only know as a music venue. The value that repeat hosting adds to our work with diverse, young, emerging filmmaking talent and the industry partnerships that help us to launch their careers is immeasurable.”
Four new non-executive directors join BIFA’s Board, overseeing the strategic direction of the organisation in collaboration with its voluntary Advisory and Nomination Committees. They are: Alex Hamilton, Chief International Officer at StudioCanal, Martin Baker, Chief Commercial Affairs Officer at Channel4, BIFA-winning writer and director Rungano Nyoni and Sera Holland, CEO of Ketchum UK. Sera will be Chair of the Board, alongside film programmer and Head of Distribution & Special Projects at We Are Parable Carmen Thompson as Deputy Chair.
Other Board members are Dominic Buchanan (Producer, Co-CEO – Home Team), Magda Lojszczyk (Head of Experiential – Live Nation Entertainment), Tim Platt (Director of Marketing & Audiences – BFI), plus BIFA founders Elliot Grove and Suzanne Ballantyne and BIFA executive directors Amy Gustin and Deena Wallace. Dan Brooke, who chaired the Board from 2019 to 2025, stands down having served the maximum term; he will be joining the board of ParalympicsGB as chair.
