BIFA Springboard: Trailer Talk with Intermission Film

On Thursday 17 December, Charlotte Dwan, Senior Producer at Intermission Film, hosted an exclusive creative marketing session for BIFA Springboard entitled Trailer Talk! Charlotte unpacked the creative, financial, and practical processes involved in making marketing assets, shining a spotlight on recent BIFA nominees and winners to illustrate her examples. 

With a focus on understanding an intended audience, Charlotte helped our emerging filmmakers to explore the creative lifecycle of AV, print and design, and socials across every stage of a film’s production. Our goal was to demonstrate how best to approach producing strong marketing assets, in collaboration with sales agents, distributors, and creative agencies.
Our filmmakers were able to walk away with a checklist of promotional materials that can be required throughout the journey of a film from pre-production right through to distribution, as well as a toolkit for maximising opportunities to gather this content whilst keeping costs down.
