USE OF ENTRANT MATERIALS

This table summarises how we will use the information and materials that you supply to us in your entry form.

Budget To determine the film’s entry fee, Eventive fee (if applicable) and its eligibility for the awards (there is an upper budget cap where a film has received any portion of its budget from a studio source and a budget cap for the Raindance Maverick Award)

It won’t be released publicly but our Nomination Committee, voters and juries (who all sign confidentiality agreements) may be informed of it

3 September (features only)
Credits To confirm information given about the film in the entry form and that the nominees listed are the right ones 3 September
Still(s) For our on-screen presentation at our nominations and longlist announcements and at the ceremony

On our website and social media to promote the film’s nominations.

We will also share these with partner organisations we are working with to promote the film’s longlisting or nomination, or to promote our screenings programmes if the film is featured in them

Ideally by 3 September, otherwise 12 September to allow us to prepare for releasing longlists

Please ensure you do not submit to BIFA any stills, artwork, clips or trailers for which you do not have the rights to use or to allow to be used in this way

 

Poster artwork, synopsis and link to trailer On our website we have a page for all nominated (and some longlisted) films. The poster artwork will be used here (e.g. https://www.bifa.film/awards/film/gods-own-country-2)

We may share these with any partner organisations we are working with to promote the film through the awards period and our screenings programmes if the film is featured in them

Press kit or production notes To compile background information for press releases and articles for our website if the film is nominated/longlisted

Voters and jurors may be given the opportunity to read these

For background information for the Nomination Committee who make eligibility decisions
